Breed and Kindred Societies choose to be affiliated to the Royal Agricultural Society to receive the benefits of the umbrella body offered by the A&P Showing Movement.  These benefits vary depending on the type of the Breed Society (as summary of benefits can be found at the following link – RAS Affiliation Benefits – V2).

One of the major benefits is the ability to have a section or classes at A&P Shows according to the standards of the respective Breed Society.  However the jewel in the crown is the Royal A&P Show or Shows.  Winning the prestigious RAS tri-coloured ribbon and medal is something most exhibitors aspire to.

The RAS has 67 breed and kindred societies affiliated and these can be seen on the previous page under the relevant headings – Equestrian, Beef, Dairy, Sheep and Other.
